Hi everyone… Michael N The Affiliate Blogger here… Merry Christmas!

Now…I’m not subscribed to many lists these days having learned the lessons early on and receiving tons of unwanted sales pitches veiled thinly as content. I’m very prudent with whom I give access to my email address. But every now and then you receive something valuable…straight from the heart and that’s what I received this morning…a moving email which I think important enough to reproduce here on my blog. I’ve been on Mike and Troy’s subscriber list for a while and I really believe these guys to be the real deal in the online marketing world. The email below is written with a lot of heart and does not sell anything but sound advice.

If you have been scammed, discouraged on the verge of giving up this thing called affiliate or internet marketing…I urge you to read this then decide…I’m not an affiliate of Mike and Troy’s nor do I know them personally in any way. Please read on….

Embrace the meaning of a single word & change your life …An email from Mike and Troy

As I sit here today on the 24th of December thinking about Christmas and what it means, I think of all of the distractions that us entrepreneurs face and I wanted to share a little personal story with you.
At the age of ten, my sister, Traci (18 years old) was tragically killed in an auto accident. At 10 I was forced to grow up very quickly and learned many of life’s lessons in a “forced” manner sooner than I should have been expected to. In many ways my childhood was cut short, but in many other ways my understanding of life was hastened and my sheer dedication and devotion was born.

I began playing the piano when I was very young. In fact I don’t really remember when I started - six or seven years old I think, but I’d have to confirm that with my mom (she’s got a much more reliable memory than me). A few months after my sister’s death, my parents and I attended a live piano concert and the pianist played a song that put both of my parents in tears.

Life was not very joyous those days and my parents struggled to go on - each day a challenge. It was an enormous burden to bear for a 10 year old as I felt pressured to somehow ease the stress of my parents. The only route that I saw was that song that had so touched them.

At the concert I had purchased the sheet music and even got it autographed. So now I made a decision to learn to play that song. At 10 years old I learned the true power of a single solitary word - decide.

For those of you that don’t know, the word ‘decide’ has been redefined, as much of our language has, through the generations. But the true Latin root for the word “decide” means “to cut off from all other possibilities”. That bears repeating:

“decide: to cut off from all other possibilities”

You see, when you “decide” something you should not be wishy washy but rather resolved and committed. When you decide to take an action, commit yourself to it as if there is absolutely no alternative - as though every possible other option has been “cut off”. When you can truly embrace this concept you will watch your success in anything you go after skyrocket - that I can assure you of.
That day I “decided” to learn to play that song, to be able to “touch” my parents through music - well, I committed to it 95%. Don’t buy into the hyped garbage about “give it 110%” - that’s BS. Most people live their lives and never learn how to give even 70% of their true force to anything.

No matter how hard you’re focusing on anything right now, I challenge you to think if you couldn’t do “just a little more”. Choose to be different. DECIDE to make a difference in your business and in your life in 2012.

The song I learned to play took months - many, many months. I don’t even remember how long anymore, but I know it was at least six months or more - I’m sure my mom could tell you. She will certainly remember because I used to wake up at 5:00am to practice in the morning for a couple of hours *before* breakfast and heading off to school. My parents would “wake up” to the sound of me torturing that poor piano into submission day after day after day.

But that wasn’t all. I came home from school and sat down and practiced another 2 or 3 or sometimes even 4 more hours. Often times I practiced more than six hours in a day - margin by margin, until I had finally succeeded in learning that song. My rendition wasn’t perfect, probably about a 7.5 on the 10 scale to be honest, but to my parents it was an “11″.

Today, I give my thanks to my sister Traci for teaching me how to succeed even from afar. Though I hardly knew my sister and have very few childhood memories at all, she has certainly been the biggest influence in my life and that one DECISION to learn to play an impossible song, well, that is something no one can ever take away from me.

That one decision helped shape many others later in life, like becoming one of the youngest directors in the history of a 200+ year old company, or becoming my bosses boss in mere months in my 20’s. It gave me the confidence to become a nuclear certified electrician before I could legally drink a bear. It gave me the confidence to lose 55 pounds in 90 days and regain my health a few years ago (a feat I, unfortunately, now need to repeat) and to become a private pilot in 30 days and get my instrument rating in just 10 days.

But more importantly it gave me the confidence to rebuild my life despite many mistakes - bankruptcy, divorce - the same things many of you have likely faced or are facing. It gave me the character to believe in myself when no one else did and the relentlessness to achieve far beyond what anyone else would have ever believed and, more importantly, to demand from myself far more than anyone else dared.

Two years ago I was recently divorced, had lost everything and was just “getting by” on about $800 a month. Today I am married to the one and only true love of my life - my wife Edina - and have a beautiful new baby girl (well, 18 months, but seems like yesterday) as well as my two other precious children from my prior marriage. Oh, and yes, a 7 figure business that had it’s strongest month ever this month (still growing) and enabled me to spent nearly four months traveling this past year.

I am truly blessed, and I share these things with you not out of arrogance but to humbly point out what is there waiting for you should you decide to get it and inspire you to not dream but to make your dreams reality. But I want one thing to ring abundantly clear as I close out this long winded story. I want it to be very clear to you that this did NOT happen by accident and I was not “lucky”.

You see I never really had any natural “talent” - still don’t. But I’ve always had a sheer determination and relentless pursuit of my objectives that have more than made up for my lack of talent. Luck has had nothing to do with Mike and I’s success. We have created the opportunities that allowed lady luck to descend upon us and that choice is available to you as well. All you have to do is DECIDE.

So please, decide to make 2012 your year. Decide to make 2012 the year that you break free and then simply make it happen, not allowing any other possibility the chance to even blossom.

A very Merry Christmas to you and your family from Mike and I and our families…

Work smarter not harder,

Mike and Troy

This may shock you but statistical data reveals that most people who are involved with affiliate marketing on the world wide web are just plain doing things the wrong way. That is why around 90% of people who begin with dreams of making it big fail and give up within the first 3 months.

I have compiled a list of what I think are the 4 biggest mistakes in stopping someone from achieving success in terms of banking their affiliate commissions

Just “trying it out”

It’s a fact that if you’re not serious enough, you won’t get serious results.

Would you like to know the real secret to successfully running a business online?

I think having a profitable Internet or affiliate business can be summed up in one phrase, “view it like a real business”!

A lot of people start out with affiliate marketing on a part-time basis. This generally means they have other things that take up their time. Usually that is a full-time job so you can immediately cross off 40 to 50 hours a week to work on your Internet business.

This immediately puts people in the category of having an Internet business as a hobby. This is okay and there is nothing wrong with a hobby, but if your goal is to be profitable and to make money online you need to consider it as more than a hobby. When it comes to succeeding whether in a “bricks and mortar” type business or on the internet the amount of work that you need to put in is the same. You need to work hard. Contrary to popular opinion there are no freebies in the internet world.
Sure, the dynamics are different and you get to work from home but it is still “work”

That means putting together a schedule and actually working on a consistent basis. The only way you will ever make money online with your affiliate marketing is if you
work at selling quality products and getting traffic to a website to purchase them from you.

Re-read the above statement again and really let it sink into your head.

Getting distracted and information overload.

The saying “less is more” couldn’t be more true when it comes to starting a profitable business on the internet.

The less you do, the more results you get.

Consider this…the problem most people face especially if they are beginners is that they have their hand in too many pies.

You must choose to focus and direct your efforts on just ONE business/venture, you’ll get a lot more from it. In other words, focus your efforts on one thing at a time.

If you need to write an article, don’t do anything else till that article is done and submitted.

Or choose one quality product/service and promote the hell out of it.

Not following a proven blueprint

Have you ever heard the phrase “there’s no need to reinvent the wheel”?

ALL successful marketers do one thing, they leverage on other successful marketers.

What I mean is if you “model” mentors who are already extremely successful, you’re bound to get better results than going on your own.

Make’s perfect sense but few actually DO this.

Here’s where I The Affiliate Blogger can assist you in learning affiliate marketing the right way.

Providing up-to-date information and resources will keep you on top of the game at all times, so take a look at a few of the benefits you’ll receive just
for joining The Affiliate Marketing Newsletter:

* What to look for when choosing programs
* Avoid common mistakes many marketers are making

* Why building your own list is a must
And so much more!

I invite you to browse the blog right now to see for yourself how the information can benefit you and how
you can immediately start applying many of the tips and tricks to your marketing strategy!

Shooting arrows in the dark

This is related to the point above and needs reiteration, if you don’t use a proven blueprint that provides a clear and precise direction, you’re likely to be confused and be aiming at no real targets.

The most successful affiliate marketers all follow a blueprint to make money, with each step building up a long-term business and generating more income.

I hope you found this article useful and I wish you the best of success.

I have been a member now of NPC for about four months. I believe they really should ask for more for what they give to their members. Every month you get two new niche packs, training that you can implement immediately and have traffic coming to your webpages and making sales. I know there are tons of people out there looking to make it big without outlaying anything for their business, in fact starting an internet business that either brings you a passive income or a full time one takes work dedication and money. Forget the “turn 12 dollars into 4000 by the end of the month rubbish”.

I challenge and encourage you to take the trial membership at Niche Profit Classroom for a buck and see for yourself the value you’d be getting with a membership and if it isn’t for you Adam and the team will refund your money no questions asked.

Talking about Adam, I just received this email from him and it is for a webinar about click-bank…I have posted his email below with the link to the webinar at the bottom of this page. Enjoy and remember dreams are dreams till you make them a reality by taking action. Succeed by doing. That’s all for now.
Michael-The Affiliate Blogger

“As you are probably aware, ClickBank is a very important player in the world of Internet marketing. Their platform is unparalleled in its capacity to empower both affiliates and digital product sellers to maximize traffic and sales…..not to mention the peace of mind it creates through it’s automated tracking and payment capabilities.

As a niche marketer, I have been benefiting from ClickBank’s services for years and experienced amazing growth in my business as a result.

So I was delighted last week when ClickBank hosted an exclusive training and Q & A webinar for Niche Profit Classroom members. ClickBank’s very own Director of Business Development –Neil Hartley, and Director of Account Development –Michael Joseph, personally hosted the call and shared some very powerful information.

After seeing the incredible response from NPC members after the call, I have decided to release the webinar recording publicly to our blog so that you too can benefit
from this important information even if you are not a Niche Profit Classroom member.

Of course, you will not be able to participate in the Q & A, but you can still absorb the content within the recording.

If you are serious about profiting online both right now and well into the future, then I HIGHLY recommend setting some time aside to watch this webinar in full.

It’s a rare glimpse into ClickBank and an opportunity to learn how to generate more profits online from one of the Internet’s most successful and influential companies.

You can watch the full webinar here:

Hi, this is Michael from the Affiliate Blogger.com. Are you looking to find out more on Mike Liebner’s Blogging Underground?. Then you have come to the right place for I am about to write an honest review of Mike and his system of link building and getting targeted traffic to your webpages. I have been a member now for 7 months and feel confident enough to give both the readers of this blog and my subscribers factual recommendations on whether becoming a member of Blogging Underground is something you might want to consider for your business. Blogging Underground is successful because Mike Liebner has amassed a number of respected blogs, now somewhere in the vicinity of 450 blogs and growing where you can post articles and receive links that will generate targeted traffic to your webpages or affiliate offers.

In the videos below, Mike will show you how he and his members earn a living from the internet. Members of the BU community achieve this by simply doing what works and ignoring all the noise that is out there on the Internet/affiliate marketing world. The link to the video below shows how he managed to build a domain from the bottom up and got the search engines to trust his website and bring him targeted traffic using specific keywords. I think Mike enjoys making videos of good content, not rubbishy sales pitches but content that you can apply and see results quickly for yourself. He’s a great teacher and I have enjoyed watching the videos that he puts out, taking notes and applying those strategies myself. He really does go out of the way and posts videos for his members of the Blogging Underground community and shows them how they can literally link their webpages to the top using his simple yet tried and true 12 step success strategy.

I am a member of BU and am using the same techniques to rank highly for my selected keywords and get targeted traffic to my websites including this one. If you have come to this page you most probably have been sent by the search engines like Google. A huge Welcome by the way!

One method Mike teaches his members is how to tweak their Wordpress blogs in such a manner that sites that apply Blogging Underground’s methods gain authority
from the search engines rapidly. Mike recommends that by showing his community of like minded blog owners (who even include people like Brian G. Johnson), to create static home pages and have recent blog articles appear in separate posts. This method creates more “link juice” and maximizes your website’s potential to get good rankings in search engines like Google.

By using your best content as pages and posts you leverage your website’s linking power by structuring them appropriately which in turn builds authority for your sites. Now most people in the know who do this won’t tell you that. These are the so called secrets that the gurus who make money use for themselves. Most of the SEO products and services out there are designed to suck your dollars out of your purse/wallet. Blogging Underground is different.

Once a member you not only get training that is easy to digest and apply but also help from Mike who has in my experience over the last 7 months has been very contactable and who is interested in the success of his members. The secret to your online success as I have found is to replicate systems that have been tried and perfected by the experts and which time and time again …work!

Do you have a website? Then signing up for an affiliate program that sells the kind of product your audiences are likely to be interested in, can lead to real profits. However, there are thousands of these programs out in the big WWW; how do you pick what’s best for you? Are the seemingly highest paying affiliate programs always the best choice for you?

So what is an affiliate anyway? when you sign up for an affiliate program, you essentially become a business partner of that vendor/company. Post an ad for their products on your webpage and make a sale through that ad, and you actually get to share in the sale price – a pretty generous commission(hint: that’s how I make moolah). You could, in one of two ways pick a program for your website. You could go with the highest paying affiliate programs that sell high-value items and pay you perhaps 35% of the sale price; but those products typically attract few paying customers. Or you could go with low-priced commodities that wouldn’t pay you much in commissions but that would attract lots of customers. A good mix of the two might be the best approach.

When you decide to pick the highest paying affiliate programs, website owners usually just search using this very term. Actually, the highest paying ones out there for you are likely to be the ones that relevant to your website, for the type of traffic your website gets. An affiliate program doesn’t have to be some separate program that sells niche products or services. Practically every business out there that sells a product or service has an affiliate program, even if they don’t actually advertise it. A good idea would be to first decide on the specific product to go with your website, and then searching for the best affiliate program that will allow you to convert visitors to sales and commissions for you.

It will be in your interests to make sure that you understand how to tell which are the highest paying affiliate programs. You could certainly look at how much upfront commission they pay when you make the sale. But that may not be the best indicator of the paying potential of that program. Picking a product that involves repeated renewals are the best that’s because commissions will be recurring. For example, making a sale for a website hosting service involves commissions each time the customer makes a renewal. You could say the same thing for a subscription service. This kind of product/service is better in terms of commissions over the long term.

There is one other way to take advantage of repeated sales too. For instance, if you refer a customer to an affiliate program and he/she buys something – say, software. What if he/she comes back three months later to buy another copy for another computer? You should get paid for that as well! With some affiliate programs, you would. You really need to look at how long their tracking cookies keep track of the customer for you. Some programs keep track for 60 days or more so you’ll be sure to get the credit for the sale. Happy commissions….right! :)

This is especially perfect for affiliate marketing. Hi, The Affiliate Blogger here and I just would like to take a few moments and tell you that if you are a beginning marketer or have just begun affiliate marketing then you need to spend your advertising dollars carefully. You want to create maximum bang for your hard earned buck! There is no better medium to do this other than ezine marketing because using ezines to reach a wide audience gets your offers to be placed before highly targeted and interested individuals who are hungry for your promotions.

There is no doubt that free “targeted” traffic is the way to go but in a highly saturated market it may be extremely difficult to get your offers before the right kind of people. It really is a numbers game when it comes to internet marketing. Ezine marketing just works and works extremely well. You can send your solo ads or classified ads out to targeted lists of interested prospects for as little as fifty dollars. In my opinion, this just beats Pay Per Click ads and it doesn’t make a hole in your advertising budget. But how do you sift through the thousands of ezines to find the correct ones for your offer? This is where I’d like to introduce you to someone whom I trust and admire and who is the owner of one of the most respected ezine directories in the wide world of internet marketing.

Have you heard of Charlie Page? Charlie is  a mentor to me and many marketers like myself. Having gone through the trials of an illness when he first began marketing about 13 years ago, Charlie worked for this particular directory until 18 months later when he bought the directory off the original owner and now owns and runs the Directory Of Ezines 2.0 I am a proud member of the directory and man does Charlie over deliver to his members. I have learned so much just by reading his articles and corresponding with him through email. Yes, he does correspond with his members and I have been able to ask him questions  through email in my quest to be an ethical marketer like him.

The Benefits of Membership

In the past 13 years the DOE has become known for many things.

  1. Helping new members make a strong start online.
  2. Delivering extreme value to members.
  3. Supporting members with “outside the box” services like free ad writing, telephone consulting and more.
  4. Helping members buy advertising to promote products, be it their own or affiliate products they promote.
  5. Giving unique rewards to members as our way of saying “thank you for being a member”.
  6. A one-time fee for Lifetime membership. ( You just can’t beat this when every other guru charges by the month)

This review is to let you know that the directory is moving and changing in order to deliver even more value to Lifetime members. Charlie and his team are completely updating every ezine they’ll list in the new DOE. When the move is done, you are going to get value that I know you are going to love.

Now let’s talk about how the DOE is changing and what that means for you if you choose to take up the highly sought after membership of the directory.  Here are some of the changes that are being made at the moment and I would sincerely hope you take up this offer before the changes are complete and the price for the Lifetime membership goes up.

  • A completely updated list of ezines.  Ezines that were not updating, not telling the truth and under performing are gone. New ezines have been added as well.Charlies team verifies and updates all listings - not the publishers themselves. This way the directory can know what is needed in order to serve members and not be at the mercy of publishers who either procrastinate or outright mislead.
  • Non-ezine email lists you can run ads in. There are many companies who have large lists and will sell ads but aren’t really an “ezine”. The directory is now including these lists for you to access as well as their list of ezines. Ad swaps - if you own a list of your own then you know that ad swaps can be very profitable and don’t cost any money. Charlie will show you how to do it and provide a list of other list owners whom you can swap lists with.
  • The ability for members to rate ezines.
  • Charlies personal ezine reviews. There will not be a publisher in the DOE Charlie has not used or has spoken with and plan to use. So, each ezine listing will carry my personal notes and observations as well as recommendations on which ones work best for certain markets or products.
  • The ability for members to comment on any post in the site, including the ezine listings. A new member community where you can communicate with your fellow members AND where we will all discuss important marketing topics.
  • More member only webinars ( These are content rich and full of useful information that you can implement immediately)
  • Continuing and expanded rewards for your membership.
  • More free phone consulting with Charlie Page and continued email consulting.
  • A much expanded learning center, offering video lessons with full written transcripts, on almost all forms of marketing. The DOE is not just about ezine advertising any more! Charlie will be going to be teaching on banner ads, pay per click, SEO and more.
  • NEW - The Ad Lab - This is where Charlie will provide “Look over his shoulder” ad results. He will be sharing results from his own advertising campaigns. Charlie will show you what he promoted, tell you which ezines he used, show you the ad tracking results and even give you his ad copy so you can run that ad as well if you like.

Considering the many benefits of membership to this particular ezine directory and obviously not forgetting the fact that you can, for life have access to a massive audience to target your business or affiliate marketing campaigns too, it just makes plain business sense to Click the banner below to grab your Free Gift before it is taken down!

pay-per-click

Getting traffic is essential for any affiliate marketing campaign to be successful. Without website traffic, there are no customers, which means no profits.

Online advertising is a popular way to bring traffic to your website. Many people pay for advertising and consider it a cost effective way to attract customers. There are several methods for doing this. Two of the most common methods are Pay Per Click (PPC) and Pay Per Impression (CPM).  The difference is with PPC, the advertiser pays when the ad is “clicked.”  With CPM, you pay for a set amount of impressions, even if visitors do not click on the ad.

In order for your site to reach the maximum amount of exposure, it should be at the top of search engine results. Using PPC brings your website to the top since the advertisements are typically placed above and alongside the search results.

Unlike banner and link ads which charge a flat rate for advertising, PPC only charges you per click, so you can potentially save money in your advertising. This of course increases your profit margin.

Often a PPC campaign is a popular method for driving traffic to your site because when visitors click on the ad, it will lead them right to your website.  In order for a Pay Per Click advertising method to be effective, the campaign also needs to be optimized to not only lead people to your site, but get them to perform some actions once they are there.  With traffic and no conversions, a PPC campaign is not really effective.

You can do this by properly researching keywords that are relevant to your site. Placing these keywords in your ad will optimize the ad to attract targeted customers.  The goal of your campaign should be targeted traffic instead of wasting time and money advertising to irrelevant consumers.

When you browse the Internet and perform searches, you have most likely noticed these ads. Each ad costs the advertiser a different amount based on the Cost Per Click (CPC). The main driving force in the CPC is the level of competition for a particular keyword.  Essentially, the higher the CPC, the more you will pay each time someone clicks on that ad.

If you are trying to place an ad for a highly valued keyword, you will have to pay for it. PPC advertising depends on the budget of the advertiser and the keywords they are trying to use.

When you set up this ad, think about your keywords.  This is how the ads will be displayed.  When someone does a search for Italian restaurants in New York, the search engines will place ads with those keywords in the title.

PPC advertising does not have to be difficult or expensive. When you first start out, you can start with a low budget.  See if it works for you.   If you’re part of an affiliate marketing program, Pay Per Click is a great way to bring in traffic to your offer.

affiliate-marketing-mistakes-to-avoid

There are hundreds of ways to earn an income online, and many people are turning to the Internet to search for stay at home job opportunities.  Whether you are tired of your job or are looking to supplement your income, making money online is an attractive and let me tell you an achievable option.

One way to make a living online is by becoming an affiliate marketer.  Affiliate marketing is simply promoting someone else’s product and earning a commission when people purchase that product through you. While the tactics vary widely, many people earn a legitimate income with this type of business. However, there are many others who dive in without any planning or preparation and fail at affiliate marketing.

One of the most important steps that many people skip is doing the research before starting.  While there is potential to earn a full-time income promoting products and services, there are some common mistakes people make.

Many of these lessons are passed on from my own experiences and from others in the business who have achieved success with affiliate marketing.

1. Signing up for every affiliate program out there.

There are no shortage of affiliate products and services to promote. While variety is the spice of life, it can also result in distraction and loss of focus. Signing up with too many programs can become counter-productive and leave you feeling overwhelmed.

In the beginning, it is much more efficient if you focus on promoting only 2 or 3 affiliate programs at once. Maintaining this focus will also most likely lead to a quicker sale.

2. Choosing the wrong product

Not only is it a mistake to choose too many products, a big mistake a new marketer will make is choosing the WRONG product. It is easy to just find any product in your niche and start promoting it. Many choose the hottest product without even knowing if it is the RIGHT product.

The best selling product may no even be a right choice for your particular audience. Many guru marketers are so good at selling, people will buy any of their products. Truthfully, best selling does not always equate to quality. You still have to do your own research and choose the right product for YOUR target audience.

3. Not knowing anything about the product.

Often times a new marketer will just grab an affiliate link and start promoting it all over the Internet even if they have no clue on what the product offers.

Most successful marketers will buy the product they are going to promote. They see the product themselves as well as experiencing the buying process.  Once you are in a position to do that, it is highly recommended. It is much easier to promote a product you believe in yourself.

4.  Copying content

While it is tempting to just copy the formula another successful marketer has developed, this may not produce the same results.

Building a successful marketing campaign for a product will take time and effort.  But in the end, you will be much better off if you offer your own unique perspective and strategy with original content and reviews.

Just like beginning any new venture, making mistakes is commonplace, and most major successes have come at the cost of multiple failures. Don’t be afraid to fail though. A little bit of failure is needed for learning and for the honing of skills. I address this in depth in my newsletter, which I encourage you to sign up for.  However, knowing some of the mistakes ahead of time can reduce those beginning frustrations. Hope this helps.
